Paper talk: Javier Hernandez, Paul Scholes & Mesut Ozil

Having met up and trained with his new team mates for the first time this week, Javier Hernandez has signified his intentions to do his best at Old Trafford. The Mexican forward shone at the World Cup and now is expected to do the same for United. He could play against the MLS Allstars tonight and then will play for and against United in Friday’s game against Chivas.

Well all we can ask is that you try your best Javier (scoring a ton of goals wouldn’t go a miss though!)
Paul Scholes has accepted that he is physically incapable of playing more than twice a week but being the model professional he is also states that you train everyday to ensure that when you are called upon you can come in and do a job.

Scholes is an integral part of the team and the fact that his playing time is dwindling doesn’t fill me with confidence but with an attitude like his, it’s just another reason to like him.

United have set their sights on Edwin van der Sar’s replacement and it isn’t who you are expecting. Having been linked with Igor Akinfeev and Manuel Neuer amongst others, 26 year old Anders Lindegaard from Danish side Aalesunds is apparently the front runner according to the M.E.N.

Won’t have been everyone’s first pick but with our past with Danish goalkeepers I’m keeping an open mind about this one.

And now for something silly which won’t have been in the papers. These terrible rumours that so and so was spotted at the airport are so uncreative and frankly boring. Only last week it was Huntelaar that was spotted in Manchester airport and last night it was Mesut Ozil. Well nothing has happened in regards to Huntelaar so I can only assume he is still waiting in baggage claims and we are about to pull off a massive double signing!
