United's season may have come to an end at Wembley on 28 May but a number of players still have international commitments before embarking on a much-deserved summer break.
Rio Ferdinand is United's sole representative in the England squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland at Wembley. The defender has been recalled by Fabio Capello despite losing the captaincy to John Terry but Michael Carrick (injured) and Wayne Rooney (suspended) are absent.
Javier Hernandez is spearheading Mexico's defence of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States. After missing a 3-0 warm-up victory over New Zealand, Chicharito is expected to figure in Sunday's opener against El Salvador with Cuba and Costa Rica completing Group A.
John O'Shea has joined up with Republic of Ireland ahead of their qualifier with Macedonia and friendly with Italy. The defender had a hamstring problem which reportedly ruled him out of the Champions League final but he is flying to Skopje with the rest of Giovanni Trapattoni's side, even though Darron Gibson pulled out with a groin strain.
Patrice Evra is with France as their programme starts with a clash against Belarus but the left-back is tipped to be on the bench with Barcelona's Eric Abidal starting. Nani will feature for Portugal against Norway but Nemanja Vidic is missing from Serbia's friendly with South Korea.
Anderson is in line for an appearance for Brazil against Holland, with Romania to follow, after being recalled to the squad ahead of the Copa America. Antonio Valencia could also be competing in the South American tournament but Ecuador coach Reinaldo Rueda claims the winger has been advised to rest for three or four weeks. Rueda is still hoping to have him available within a fortnight to represent his country.
The England Under-21s have a final fixture ahead of their European Championship finals with Norway providing the opposition on Sunday at Southampton's St Mary's Stadium. Tom Cleverley, Chris Smalling and Danny Welbeck are all in Stuart Pearce's plans but Welbeck may need to prove his fitness after sitting out the end of the season with Sunderland due to injury.
